Final Frontier


In the spring of 2024, a few of my classmates had revitalized a game design club that had existed prior to the pandemic. This was not only my first game jam, but also my first experience using Unreal Engine. The theme for this jam was "Beyond the Frontier", which gave me the idea to make a space related game. This jam took place over 2 weeks, in which I learned the basics of the engine, and managed to make a few systems, such as oxygen, money, health, etc. The overall premise of the game was to collect materials on the moon in order to sell them and then uprgrade things like oxygen and then eventually trade materials in order to get supplies to build a colony on the moon.
